EAST Lancashire MP Janet Anderson has been re-elected to the Labour Party's Parliamentary Committee - giving constituents a 'direct line' to Tony Blair.
Last year, the Rossendale and Darwen MP took over from Pendle's Gordon Prentice on the body, which meets weekly with the Prime Minister.
She said: "I am delighted to have been re-elected. Every week the six of us meet Mr Blair to discuss issues that are important to the party.
"I am a strong supporter of the Prime Minister but if there is something where I think he is wrong, I am not afraid to use the opportunity to tell him. And Mr Blair always listens."
