THE Top-Twenty named is the catalogue published of MPs' expenses in their recent self-imposed salary-hike.
It comes as no great surprise that 18 of the Top-20 MPs are members of Mr Croysdill's Labour Party. While it is human nature that no-one ever refuses a pay rise, the level of mega-buck fairy-tale expenses of up to £100,000 gives credence to the idea "Politicians are only in it for the money."
If pensioners got the same percentage rise, nobody would moan! But with a third of all over-65s living below the official poverty line or living off hand-outs the other two-thirds are means-tested and face losing their homes to pay for residence in a Care-Home in later life. No doubt with an election in the offing next year, we can look for an improved level of increased funding for England's elderly!
If it was the same percentage rise as the increase of violent crime, drug-taking and MPs salaries, we'd all be happy, but then pigs might fly?
Ignore the grey vote at your peril Mr Croysdill, or your secure job as the North West's spin doctor may just disappear!
