Preston North End are set to sign Gillingham striker Patrick Agyemang for a fee in the region of £350,000 .
The 24-year-old is currently in talks at Deepdale but the Gills website have wished the player all the best and declared that he will undergo a medical in the next 24 hours.
There was no rush to complete the signing of the former Wimbledon front man today, as he 's only just returning to full fitness following a hamstring problem.
While one striker looks set to arrive another has left, with Northern Irish striker Andy Smith finally finalising a loan deal with Stockport County.
Negotiations were eventually completed earlier today (Friday) and the youngster is likely to make his debut in Saturday's FA Cup First Round match with Hudderfield.
