A HEADTEACHER has praised pupils for producing the best set of GCSE results the school has ever achieved.
Speaking at an honours evening to award last year's Year 11 pupils at Norden High School, Rishton, headteacher,Denise Parkinson said she was full of pride for her students.
She said: "We celebrate their magnificent achievements.
"This year's group produced the best GCSE results the school has ever achieved and the staff and governors are extremely proud of them.
"Last year was a difficult year due to the fund-raising efforts and the writing of the sports college board, both of which were successful and the school was designated a sports college from September this year.
"This success has only been possible due to the hard work of pupils, staff and governors and the generous contributions from organisations, parents and members of the community."
