ONLINE shopping could soon seem a lot more realistic with a student at Nottingham Trent University developing a new computer programme.
It allows the customer to 'feel' the product by providing realistic feelings for 10 sensations. By running the mouse over the product you will be able to stroke the fibres of a jumper, test the thickness and elasticity by stretching the fabrics.
The idea is to make online shopping appeal to another of the five senses, what next? a scratch and sniff screen to buy perfume?
