WITH regards to hospital waiting times, it is no wonder we have to wait for what seems an eternity for an appointment. You're lucky if you are seen on the first appointment; usually it is cancelled.
Do doctors and consultants ever talk to each other? They certainly do not respond to internal mail, i.e., a consultant to a doctor. Therefore patients suffer yet again due to the fact of having no time to reply to letters.
Management run hospitals like a business, so why does it not work? Should it take three months for a consultant to respond to a doctor's (working within the hospital) request to see a patient?
Can we not do anything about this in this day and age?
