NELSON striker Paul Barrett celebrated his 21st birthday with a hat-trick as the Blues hit five against Chadderton.
Neil Chapman opened the scoring after six minutes, and 40 seconds later Chapman provided the opportunity for Barrett to double Nelson's lead with a low shot from the edge of the box.
After 32 minutes it was Sam Hall who hooked the ball forwards to Barrett and again he finished confidently with a well-placed shot to put Nelson three goals in front.
Chadderton did well not to leak any more goals before half-time and their player-manager Richard Graham moved himself from central defender to striker in an attempt to swing the game.
The ploy did not pay off and Nelson punished their opponents with two goals in the closing stages. Brad Pates scored the Blues' fourth with a header and Barrett completed the rout with his third three minutes from time.
