A POLICE worker who was supposed to move a car on a drive took it for a spin instead and hit another vehicle.
Burnley magistrates heard how Nicholas Craig Watson, 18, who only passed his test in February, caused £1,000 damage to his friend's car, would have to pay out for the other vehicle and had lost his job into the bargain.
Watson, of Conway Crescent, Barnoldswick, was banned for 14 days and must pay £300 compensation, after admitting driving without due care and attention on Skipton Road, Foulridge, and using an uninsured vehicle, on October 8.
