THE appointment of ex-England and Lancashire all-rounder, Ian Austin, as cricket director of Northern League club St Annes will make sure the club emulates its success off the field of play on it.
This was the message from chairman of the Highbury Road club, John Cotton, at the club's annual meeting last night.
He revealed that St Annes were looking for a class spinner or an out and out fast bowler as professional next season at a meeting which saw cricket chairman for the last eight seasons, Graham Tindall, step down.
He will be replaced by respected Northern League player and an ex club-captain, Russ Bradley.
The club had a cash turnover of one third of a million pounds.
