VEHICLE recovery operator Carl Smart was given five extra penalty points on his licence after admitting driving at nearly 30 mph above the 70 mph limit on the M60 at Middleton.
Smart (26), of Douglas Walk, Whitefield, told Rochdale Magistrates' Copurt that he was in a hurry to fulfil a contract for a vehicle receovery business he had recently set up.
Smart, who already had six points on his licence, was told, the bench would not impose a ban but added five penalty points to his licence and fined him £150 with £35 court costs.
