BLACKBURN started well, looking the better side in the early stages and, deservedly, scoring the first try.
Initially there was too much ball-watching from the Sedgley pack, but the all-round excellence of the Park team gradually began to emerge.
The pack began to dominate and centre Adam Cheshire used his pace to score two tries wide out, to give Sedgley a 10-5 half time lead.
The forwards continued to take charge in the second half, though Blackburn were always dangerous; this was a good test for the Sedgley side.
Wing Dan Healey scored the third try, but
Sedgley then had to defend for a time as Blackburn pressed.
Finally, they broke out to score an exceptional individual try, Cheshire's third.
Blackburn pulled the score back to 20-12 with a converted try before Sedgley
lock and captain, Andrew Dauncey, crashed though to score a try which Healyconverted.
