BURY-based company Century Seal has given Irene Bush a fantastic farewell to mark her retirement from her position as PA to the managing director.
Irene marked her 60th birthday and retirement on the same day when the firm laid on a special event at the Village Hotel, Bury. She had worked with Century Seal managing director Mr Robert Foy for 22 years. The Roach Bank Road company, which employs a 75-strong workforce, is involved in windows and doors double glazing and conservatory installation.
Prior to the firm being launched 13 years ago, both had worked for a national company in the same industry. Irene started as branch administrator and was promoted to national administrator after five years. She began working closely with Robert and shortly afterwards became his PA. To mark Irenes retirement, Century Seal staff had a collection and bought her a new Plasma TV which was presented to her at the retirement party. And later, at a family party, the PA was presented with a substantial 'golden handshake' by the managing director, a new conservatory for her home together with tickets and spending money for a three-week trip to Barbados.
