IT IS sure to be an entertaining partnership as The Sonny and Shelley Show comes to the Nicky Alliance Day Centre.
Fundraising executive at the centre, Mr Sonny Warner has welcomed on board a newcomer to his team in the form of Mrs Shelley Blackston.
Mr Warner MBE, of Prestwich, has a wealth of experience in the entertainment business and is renowned for his performances with The Sonny Warner Show.
These days though, he devotes most of his time to raising vital cash for the day centre, in Middleton Road, which provides a range of services for local elderly Jewish people.
And when it came to finding a right-hand woman to help him out in his work, he looked no further than Mrs Blackston, who is also a natural performer.
The mother-of-two, from Outwood, Radcliffe, is the vice-chaiman of the Jewish Theatre Group and has trod the boards just recently as Mrs Bedwin in the production of Oliver.
She also has vast experience in fundraising, having worked with Rabbi Dovid Jaffe for Lubavitch South Manchester and for the Manchester charity Leukas-Aid which she set up with a close friend to raise money for leukaemia.
Mrs Blackston said of her new job: 'As Sonny Warner has more than 40 years' experience, I am hoping that his expertise will rub off on me!
Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Nicky Alliance Day Centre or who would like a tour of the facility should contact Shelley or Sonny on 0161 740 0111.
