A COMFORTABLE 5-0 win over Chadderton last week ended a barren run for Nelson, but it still wasn't enough to impress the boss.
Dave Hall asked for more belief from his side and that's what he got but there's still room for improvement.
"I said that we'd been playing well without getting the results we deserve, so to score five and finally win was pleasing," he said.
"But the disappointing thing is that once again we took our foot off the gas.
"The worrying thing is that we still aren't killing teams off and against better sides we will be made to pay.
"But I was delighted with Paul Barrett who scored a hat trick, what better way to celebrate your 21st birthday."
Attentions turn away from league action on Saturday as Nelson travel to Cheadle in the Division Two Trophy and Hall has hinted that changes could be on the cards.
"I've got a few players here who deserve a game, they've been waiting patiently for their chance so maybe they'll get it on Saturday."
