MY brother is 10 years old and has severe autism. Until he went to the Re:d Centre in Morley Street, Bury, he had no friends and didn't go anywhere without my parents.
He can not play out like other children of his age but he got a place for a 'teatime break at the Re:d Centre. He loves it and enjoys all the activities.
While he was there it gave me time to study for my GCSEs. I now attend Bury College and will soon have the right to vote. And speaking as a future voter I am very disillusioned with Bury Council.
How can they cut the spending on the Re:d Centre where my brother and other children like him have a better quality of life?
Please, please Bury Council, keep the centre open and keep the future bright for disabled people and their families.
