MARK McGhee rued the loss of two key players he believes would have helped Brighton beat Burnley.
The Seagulls boss was forced to name a team without suspended duo Adam Virgo and Danny Cullip.
And he feels the Clarets subsequently won the aerial battle to earn their third away win of the season.
McGhee moaned: "The only way we were ever going to lose that game is through a set-piece.
"We were missing two of our three main headers of the ball and we don't have anybody to replace them.
"It meant we were not as effective from our set plays and it meant we were in danger from Burnley's.
"It wouldn't have been half as tough a game if we had Adam and Danny and if they had played I'm convinced we would have won the game.
"They would have been defending our box and heading the corners away and at the other end posing much more of a threat than we were able to do."
McGhee added: "I thought for half an hour we annihilated Burnley with football, but maybe didn't have enough at the end of that.
"My lack of resources is blindingly frustrating because these are the types of games it wouldn't take very much for us to win.
"I had hoped we would get the goal, but they got it and it's no big deal and we move onto the next game."
