ROSSENDALE UTD 2 WARRINGTON T 1

ROSSENDALE'S revival continued as they moved out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.

But only the hard work of the directors and supporters ensured the game went ahead as they worked tirelessly all morning to clear snow off the pitch. And their dedication was repaid with a good, solid performance.

Dale started the game well on top and it was little surprise when Stuart Tulloch opened the scoring on eight minutes. The winger fired in a low free kick which glanced off Warrington's Terry Nestor before finding the bottom corner.

Player manager Mark Molyneaux kept Dale in front with an excellent save from Iain Dyson, but it was the home side that was doing the majority of the attacking.

Visiting stopper Colin Flood, meanwhile, had no answer to Robert Jones' shot from the edge of the box, which floated into the top corner.

Jones started the second half by rattling the crossbar, but from then on the visitors enjoyed the majority of the possession.

However, they created little and chances still fell to Dale on the break.

Flood saved well from Baguley at his near post and the keeper then did well to tip Jones' 20-yarder over the bar.

Tulloch had a golden chance to wrap things up with 10 minutes remaining but was denied by Lee Webster's goal-line clearance.

Dyson finally took advantage of the visitors possession, scoring at the back post from close range.
