DARWEN student Janette McCamley has been handed a top award after getting the best marks in Lancashire for her course.
She scooped the Chartered Institute of Marketing's top marketing students award for achieving the highest mark overall for CIM students in Lancashire, taking the Advanced Level Certificate in Marketing.
Janette, of Westminster Close, studied at Blackburn College, where she also works as a marketing co-ordinator.
She said: "Studying while holding down a full-time job is definitely a commitment, but it has all been worthwhile.
"The knowledge I have gained throughout the course has definitely been of help to me in my career so far, and will be in the future."
She also paid tribute to course tutor Andrew Davies, describing him as "inspirational".
Janette received her award from the institute's Lancashire branch chairman, Harry Milligan, in front of an audience of 60 members and their guests at a CIM event held at Harris Park Conference Centre.
