FIVE generations of one family came together to celebrate the shared birthday of a 90-year-old woman and her one-year-old great, great grandson.
Hannah Mounsey, of Rothesay Road, Shadsworth, and little Jake celebrated the remarkable coincidence with a party at the Windmill, Preston New Road, Mellor Brook.
The family tried to get the feat in the Guinness Book of Records - but were told it was TOO unique to be included.
Hannah has three children, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and Jake, who lives with his mum Eleanor in Blackpool. Many of them turned out in force on Sunday to wish the duo many happy returns.
Even though she and the toddler share the same birthday, they have been born into drastically different worlds. Hannah said: "When I was a little girl everyone was so poor and there were no fat people about. I think my secret is that I have never over indulged on anything - that can do people harm instead of good."
Hannah, the second youngest of six children born in Oswaldtwistle and brought up in Church, said of Jake: "It is wonderful. He was expected before but hung on until my birthday. I hope there are more additions to my family."
Her son John, of Hall Street, Blackburn, added: "We weren't expecting Jake to be born on the same day. We all thought it was marvellous."
