AN 11-year-old boy from Morecambe has become one of the youngest people in the county to be subject to an Anti-Social Behaviour Order.
Joshua Skivington was given the two-year order along with his 15-year-old brother Jamie at Lancaster Magistrates court on Tuesday.
The pair, who both live at Windermere Avenue, were found guilty of acting in an anti-social manner which caused or was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Prosecutor Sue McLane cited a number of incidents involving the boys which had affected neighbours on the Branksome estate.
She said incidents reported to police included the pair being 'tooled' with a baseball bat, carrying a metal bar, causing damage to vehicles, intimidating other people, threatening children and assaulting a young female.
"People have been subjected to verbal insults and the pair have affected the quality of life of their neighbours," she added.
Defending solicitor Alan Reece said the boys were both quite intelligent and fully understood what the order meant - and the consequences if they broke it.
"They know that if they behave there is every chance the police will come back to court to downgrade the order," he said.
