FYLDE hope to make it their best run of results in seven years on Saturday when Blaydon visit the Woodlands.
With five wins on the bounce behind them, Fylde will be hoping to move even closer to the top of National Three (North) against a side who beat them twice last season.
Fylde will check on injured backs Greg Anderton (neck) and Paul Newton (knee) who've missed recent games and on flanker Quentin King who damaged a shoulder at Webb Ellis Road against Rugby Lions last week.
Alex Moffatt is likely to be on the sidelines for a few weeks with a calf muscle tear. The coaches may include ex-Sedgley Park and Orrell flanker, Mark Lloyd, amongst the final 19 selected players following his debut for the Club in the Wanderers side that beat Vale of Lune on Saturday.
Two Mike Scott penalties put Fylde ahead before a penalty and a converted Steve Halsey try put the home side into the driving seat at half time.
But, as with the previous week against New Brighton, Fylde came out stronger in the second half, with Paul Green going over in the corner to put his side ahead, despite a missed conversion by Scott. Scott then successfully converted two penalties to make it 17-10 before another try from Quentin King after good work from Lawrence Condon. Scott converted, although Rugby scored a final converted try through Glen Carson.
Fylde coach, Stuart Connell, said: "In the first half the Rugby pack played a very physical and aggressive game, the fiercest period that we've faced this season. But we hung in and defended very well.
"Being down by 6-10 at the break was a setback but we believed that we could turn it around. Our players have got great hearts and a very competitive outlook.
"We're looking forward to the next three matches against Blaydon and Dudley Kingswinford at home and Darlington away. If we can keep our winning momentum then our visit to league leaders Halifax on December 18 should be epic!"
