TICKETS for Morecambe's historic Boxing Day clash with Cumbrian neighbours Carlisle United will go on sale next Monday (November 29).
They will be sold initially to voucher holders who attended the game against Crawley and season ticket holders - up to a limit of three per person.
Remaining tickets for the Shrimps first ever league meeting with Carlisle will go on general sale a week later - on Monday, December 6. But security arrangement mean that proof of identity and address will be required at point of sale.
The arrangements have been announced following a meeting on Monday between the club, police and safety experts.
Places available to Carlisle supporters have been increased from 979 to 1,843 in the expec-ted sell-out crowd of 6,500.
The Cumbrians will take over the 'away' end of the ground -where extra temporary terracing is being installed - and will also take just over 200 seats in the main stand and 124 places in the South West standing area.
Both clubs and the police are urging away fans not to buy tickets for the home area for the game which will be policed by officers from Cumbria as well as local bobbies.
Police say 'appropriate action' will be taken if people are in the wrong section of the ground.
E SHRIMPS are to feature on Sky TV for the second time this season. The Nationwide Conference fixture at Carlisle's Brunton Park home scheduled for New Year's Day has been selected by TV chiefs to be screened live on national television - and moved to Sunday, January 2, with a 2.15pm kick off.
