ALEX Taylor continued his hot streak, but was unable to help Burnley to their first league win of the season.
The Clarets third-year scholar, who has scored eight times for the youth team this season, set the Clarets on their way to a long overdue victory with a 58th minute strike.
However, Mark Yates' side were unable to hold onto their lead for the second home game in succession and conceded a sloppy equaliser five minutes later.
Burnley should have had the game wrapped up long before then with Taylor looking sharp in attack. He tested Town keeper Tim Deasy as early as the eighth minute and then Marc Pugh drilled a shot just over the crossbar.
Matt O'Neill was later unlucky to see a dipping left-footer fly just over the bar.
But Taylor finally struck his second reserve team goal of the campaign from close range after Pugh loaded another cross into the Town box.
Neil Morgan cancelled it out in the 63rd minute before French midfielder Amadou Sanokho was denied by a goal-line clearance.
Burnley piled on the pressure in the closing stages, but could not force a winner and had to settle for a fifth successive draw.
BURNLEY: Crossley, Pilkington, Scott, Yates (Platt 84), Trotman, McCann, Pugh, Sanokho (Lafferty 72), Taylor, Booth, O'Neill.
Subs not used: Bailey, Cropper, Brightwell.
