CLOSED circuit TV surveillance could be on its way to Carnforth.
A survey is now being conducted on the costs, benefits and possible location of cameras for the town council.
Graham Cox, of Lancaster City Council, has advised councillors that a system will cost in the region of £20,000 to set up, with ongoing bills of £1,500 per year.
Funding may be available from the district's community safety partnership.
The detailed survey is expected to take four to five weeks and CCTV could be installed within three months.
