SOME new students at Lancaster University are still waiting for their rooms - and have no idea when building work will finally be completed.
Freshers should have arrived to find smart new accommodation blocks at the university at the start of the new term.
But nearly three months on, some of the building work is still not complete.
Major contractors Jarvis ran into construction delays and now the university is working with various partners to try and get work done.
A statement says: "A revised construction programme is being drawn up and discussed this week. Students are being kept fully informed on when they will be moving into their new accommodation.
"Students staying in contingency rooms continue to be transferred to their new accommodation as part of a managed process. A group of about 80 will move into new houses and flats in Alexandra Park in the next week."
Lancaster University's director of finance and resources Andrew Neal adds: "We are all determined to do everything that is practically possible to put this project back on track."
