THIRTY-ONE road tax cheats have been clamped this week as a result of a crackdown by police, Burnley Council and the DVLA.
The "intelligence-led" operation to target tax evaders began on Monday and will finish today but police are warning that they'll be back.
PC Richard Collopy, Community Beat Manager for the Queensgate Ward, organised the operation.
He said: "The current tax crackdown is the fifth such operation we've run this year.
"The decision to run another operation was made following complaints at a recent PACT (Police and Community Together) meeting where law abiding motorists said, quite rightly, that they were fed up with others flouting the law."
Anyone who spots an out of date or missing road tax disk can contact the new DVLA hotline 08000 325202.
