BURY travel to Swansea City on Saturday on a mission to stop the Vetch Field juggernaut.
The Swans, second in the Coca Cola League Two table, are on a terrific eight-game winning sequence at home and there's no time like now to bring it to an end.
But if the Shakers are to achieve their ambition and return from South Wales with something for their trouble they will have to stand up and be counted according to manager Graham Barrow.
The boss reckons the partisan crowd the Swans can rely on can seriously have an influence on the game and it's up to his players to overcome that.
Swansea are regularly boasting gates of seven and eight thousand and their vociferous and fanatical fans are capable of lifting the home players to great heights.
Last year's visit was a case in question. On a sweltering opening day of the season they steamrolled Bury 4-2 to get the campaign off to a flyer.
Then, a season earlier, the Shakers were left hanging onto a somewhat fortunate 3-2 win, despite racing into a three goal lead inside the first half hour.
"It'll be a test for us because this is one of the few places we'll face a crowd of 8,000 and they can make a difference to games," said Barrow.
"The noise they create when their team wins a corner doesn't make the delivery any better, it's just how our players cope with it.
"It's part of being a professional footballer, everyone will have to stand up, be counted and make sure we concentrate for the full ninety minutes."
Kenny Jackett's men might just need the much-vaunted noisy backing tomorrow, as they have five regular first team players suspended for the game.
Both defender Garry Monk and striker Andy Robinson got their marching orders in last Saturday's shock 2-0 defeat at Shrewsbury Town, while defender Kristian O'Leary, midfielder Roberto Martinez and striker Paul Connor each picked up fifth yellow cards to earn them suspensions.
To ease the burden, Jackett has been busy this week bringing in players from over the Severn Bridge, with left-back Ijah Anderson linking up with the Swans from Bristol Rovers, and winger Marc Goodfellow joining on a months loan from Bristol City.
Both go straight into the squad for tomorrow's match.
There's no reason why the Shakers shouldn't be able to call a halt to the Welsh side's storming run as they have been impressive performers on their travels so far this season.
They sit just two points from a play-off place at present and have lost just one of their last nine games, and that was to a controversial penalty decision at Cheltenham earlier this month.
"If we stay as consistent for the next six months I think we'll be there when it matters," added Barrow.

"Even in our bad month of September we were playing decent football and it didn't disturb us too much.
"We've made a decent start and it would be nice to go on and do something, if not this season then the next.
"Even the reserves and the youth team are going well so there's a lot we should be pleased about."
The second string continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 victory at Chester City on Wednesday afternoon.
Goals from Jon Newby, Simon Whaley and Dave Buchanan proved decisive and the win keeps them in the top three of the Pontins Holiday League Division One West table.
"We don't flood the team with professionals every week as the teenagers have played the lion's share of the games," added Barrow.
"It's not just a flash in the pan how well they are doing."
Skipper Dave Challinor has been progressing well at the FA's Lilleshall Rehabilitation Centre and could be back for next weekend's crucial FA Cup second round clash at Northampton Town.
"The medical staff down there have been very pleased with his recovery," said Barrow.
"They don't see any reason why he can't be back for the cup game and they don't usually commit themselves before a player has kicked a ball again."
