COLNE will become the music, speech and drama capital of the North over the next two weekends for the popular Luther Greenwood Memorial Festival.
Competitors from all over the North West will compete in the festival, which will be held in venues across the town.
The festival, established in 1947, was named in honour of the conductor of the Orpheus choir in Colne.
The events -- music, speech and drama tomorrow and music on December 4 -- will be held at the Municipal Hall, Methodist Church Hall, Albert Road, and the Parish Church, Church Street.
A competitors' concert of dance, music, speech and drama will be held at the Municipal Hall at 7pm tomorrow, opened by the Mayor of Pendle Dorothy Lord. Admission £3. Children free.
