CHORLEY have snapped up Jamie Squires from Bamber Bridge.
The experienced former Preston central defender, who can also operate in midfield, has been brought in by boss John Hughes to boost his side's experience.
The Magpies manager is also hoping to add a couple more players to his injury-hit squad ahead of the UniBond Division One trip to Belper Town tomorrow.
Lee Pennington, John Borland and Ian Callaghan are still out but confidence is high after the 2-1 win over Mossley on Tuesday.
However, Hughes has one problem with the victory - it was in the UniBond League Challenge Cup.
He said: "It's the league we need wins in. We beat Woodley 5-1 and I wish that was in the league as well.
"I don't know what the difference is, I suppose it's that we have luck in the cup when we haven't had any luck whatsoever in the league games.
"But hopefully with the lads coming in to improve the side that will change round."
Chorley have been drawn away to Willenhall Town in the third round of the Challenge Cup on Saturday, December 18.
