GREAT Harwood Town are preparing to have their say in the title race.

The Robins, rooted to the bottom of the North West Counties First Division and hampered by a four-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player, take on leaders St Helens Town tomorrow.

And manager Dave Sharples is hoping his troops can manufacture an upset in the top versus bottom clash at the Showground.

"It's going to be a tough game, and after watching St Helens, it's no surprise they are top of the league," the Town chief said.

"They are well organised and strong, and I'd expect them to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. But we've got to go into the game in a positive frame of mind despite our points deduction.

"It's an unwanted burden but that's behind us now. There's nothing we can do about it expect try to get those points, and more, back."

Sharples hopes to be boosted by the return of central midfielder James Dean after missing most of this season due to work commitments.

James Coonan, however, is still likely to be sidelined through injury.
