BLACKBURN Hawks are in league action on tomorrow night and go looking for a confidence booster against the league's 'whipping boys' Bradford Bulldogs.
After suffering a series of reverses in the Premier Cup, the Hawks lost again last weekend when the league programme resumed, going down 5-6 to Nottingham Lions.
Disappointed player-coach Bobby Haig said: "We absolutely battered them, but couldn't turn pressure into goals.
"I never take any team for granted, but if we can beat Bradford it will do our confidence a world of good."
Back in October, the Hawks, then sitting pretty at the top of the English Hockey League North, achieved a 'shut-out' in beating the Bulldogs 15-0 over in West Yorkshire.
On that occasion, Wes Barnett did much of the damage with a personal tally of four goals.
Bradford currently have the most unwelcome 100 per cent record, having played seven and lost them all.
"We will still have to work hard and be at our best, anything else is unacceptable," said Haig, who is determined to drive his side back to the top of the league.
Tomorrow's Roses showdown faces off at 6pm. The Arena doors open for spectators at 5.15 pm.
