A FAMILY who picked up a teenager being beaten up by a gang of youths and drove him home, have been asked by police to come forward.
The 18-year-old was set upon by six males in Catlow Hall Street, Oswaldtwistle, at 8.30pm, on November 5.
He was punched in the eye and nose but saved from further attack by a family who stopped their car when they saw the struggle, picked him up and drove him home.
PC Tracey Finn, community beat manager for Oswaldtwistle, has appealed for the family to get in touch to establish whether they could give descriptions of the victim's attackers or would recognise them again.
They are asked to contact PC Finn on 01254 353103. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the same number.
