But Colne showed the strength of their character to hit back as substitute David Gray forced home the equaliser from close range on 79 minutes.
The price was paid on 60 minutes when a harmless ball into the Reds box produced an equaliser.
Five minutes later, with North End having their best spell of the game, Colne were shocked when they conceded a second goal.
The Reds are strong in character these days and continued to play football and showed their capacity to bounce back
Despite late pressure when Ingham hit the post and Haworth had another chance, Colne had to settle for a share of the spoils.
Back in action on Tuesday evening the Reds travel to Formby for NWCL1 encounter.
