LIFE is just one big happy event for Prestwich woman Sue Cohen.
And that's not surprising, given the fact she is carving herself a deep niche in the lucrative world of corporate hospitality and event management thanks to her attention2detail company launched earlier this year.
The mother-of-three decided to establish her own business having worked at the Palace and Royal Exchange theatres in Manchester and with the Imperial War Museum North. She has a deep understanding of the Manchester events scene which stands her in good stead in her new role.
The 41-year-old of St Mary's Road, said: "I had worked on some of the most amazing shows to come through Manchester. But rather than be associated with a specific venue, I found I wanted the freedom to operate an events management business, finding the right venue, the right suppliers and controlling the whole process with my own brand of service.
"That's why the business is called attention2detail. It was a difficult decision to take the leap, but I believe it is right for me. When I've been asked to organise an event, I have all my suppliers in place. If I can't do it all myself, I will put in local staff on a temporary basis."
Commenting on her brief, Sue added: "I have my own way of approaching events for my clients. I prepare detailed proposals for them to view free of charge and arrange all the bookings from venues to catering, including extra special details such as entertainment, theming, even down to the flowers. It's truly a passion of mine to ensure each event is a success."
The Prestwich woman has also taken the shrewd decision to set up on-line at www.theattention2detail.com which features everything about her company and services that any prospective clients needs to know.
Since she launched the business in September, Sue has organised a number of events which re-inforces her belief her move to set up on her own was justified.
"I had the experience, I had all the contacts and I knew all the suppliers. The time was right and I just wanted to spread my wings."
