BLACKBURN Rovers striker Matt Jansen has undergone surgery to correct a cartilage problem.
The 27-year-old went under the knife yesterday and the club expect him to be missing for at least two to three weeks.
"Matt has had a small operation to trim knee cartilage," said assistant manager Mark Bowen.
"It's a tiny piece of work and we believe it should be a fairly quick recovery.
"I am guessing, but I reckon maybe two to three weeks before he is back in action completely."
Meanwhile, Bowen also confirmed that Lorenzo Amoruso is recovering well from his Achilles operation and is now on the road back to full fitness.
"There is still some scar tissue present so it will be some weeks before he's ready to play again," added Bowen.
"I think it's a case of seeing how he goes. You can't put a time on a comeback as yet."
