PENDLE youngsters have just two more days to recycle as much as they can for the chance to win a CD player.
Primary school pupils across the borough have been given pledge books to pester friends and relatives into recycling to win money for their schools.
The initiative was launched in October and comes to an end on Friday.
Pendle Council's recycling officer Denise Bell said: "Children now have just a few days left in which to collect as many pledges as they can to be in with the chance of winning a prize for themselves and their school."
Prizes include tickets to the Sea Life Centre in Blackpool for every pupil who collects three or more pledges and a portable CD player for the youngster who collects the most.
The school with the most pledges from people who have promised to recycle will receive £500 and there is a second prize of £250 and a third prize of £100 plus five runners up prizes of £50 each.
Pendle is also in the running for the £6,000 prize for the Lancashire district which collects the most pledges.
