TONY Sullivan owned up that his spectacular FA Trophy winner was a fluke - but still reckons City were good value for their win over Bromsgrove.
"I did look up but I just hit it to the back post and it went in," smiles Sullivan, pictured.
"But we deserved to win. We hit the post three times and were the better side."
The striker, who has been used from the bench for most of the season, is also hoping his current scoring run can help him force his way into the starting line-up.
"I haven't played too much this season but I scored at Skelmersdale and at Stalybridge and again against Bromsgrove so I hope I can get a chance."
Boss Phil Wilson was pleased with the win but still believes his side can play better.
"It was one of those games when we dominated for long periods. We could have been better but the main thing in a cup tie is to get through," says Wilson.
He was also delighted with the goal two minutes from time- if only to avoid a midweek replay in Worcestershire.
"It's nice to have a week off," says the manager. "It was getting late but that's what Sulli can do. He hasn't played but he can make a big difference when he comes from the bench."
Bromsgrove boss Jimmy Mullen, an ex-Burnley manager, was disappointed to lose to the late, late goal but says: "Fair play to Lancaster. We came here to try and get the replay and although they hit the bar three times they didn't look like hurting us. It was disappointing to lose to a goal like that. It was a fluke."
