PLANS for a variety of new traffic rules around Darwen have been drawn up by council officers.
A request for no-waiting signs to be placed in Willow Bank Lane have been backed by councillors after complaints that people were regularly double-parking on the street.
However, plans are now being drawn up to revoke a waiting ban currently in force in Windsort Road, Darwen.
Residents on that street made the request after the road was resurfaced but double yellow lines left off.
As a consequence, people have begun parking there but without any problems resulting.
Both schemes will be advertised.
Police are being asked to comment on plans to restrict waiting in St Albans Road before and after school hours at St Cuthberts CE School, because of problems caused by parents picking up children.
And police are also being asked to consult on plans to ban waiting in Hawkshaw Avuenue, Darwen, which residents claim is becoming dangerous because people keep parking right on the junction with the A666.
