zHAS our wonderful award-winning council come up with a new recycling scheme? Let me explain.
On Friday, November 19, I was driving up Perry Street, Darwen after the overnight flurry of snow and freezing conditions. I noticed a good coating of grit on the road. I thought 'that's good' keeping the roads safe.
I picked up a passenger and then started to drive off to go down town but I had to pull into the kerb as coming towards me was a roadsweeper.
It was the one with the big brushes at the front and the big nozzle that sucks up all the rubbish and grit! I thought to myself 'I wonder where they re-use that?'
