VALE of Lune face a crucial clash with fellow Powergen North One strugglers Altrincham Kersal at Powder House Lane on Saturday.
Lune are nervously looking over their shoulders near the foot of the table while Kersal are just two points below them, although they do have two games in hand on the locals.
Meanwhile, Vale's women's team, second-placed in Premiership 2, entertain League leaders Wasps II on Sunday. The sides are locked together on 21 points from six games with Wasps holding the upper hand through points difference.
The winners of the the Powder House Lane clash will go to the top of the league.
Kick off is at 3pm.
