MARTIN Jol is expected to change his forward line yet again when his Tottenham side visit Ewood Park.
Jol has three strikers - Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and Fredi Kanoute - battling it out for two places in the starting line-up.
Since taking over from Jacques Santini at White Hart Lane last month, Jol has juggled his team selection in a bid to keep all three sharp.
Defoe was less than happy to be a substitute for Wednesday night's Carling Cup tie against Liverpool, which Spurs lost on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
The England striker came off the bench to score Tottenham's goal, and is pushing for a starting place against Rovers. But even if Defoe starts tomorrow, he will still have to drop out again, as he is suspended for the trip to Manchester City the following Saturday.
Jol is sticking by his rotation policy, even if it does not always go down well with his players.
He said: "I told Jermain he would be on the bench for the Liverpool game because I have to think about the next match. I have to make choices. It is very difficult, but I like making that kind of decision. I am the one who has to take the decision and the responsibility lies with me if things do not work.
"We have three great strikers, and the decision as to whether to play them all or who to leave out is a nice problem to have."
Keane, who also looks set to start tomorrow, looked unimpressed when he was hauled off in the second half against Liverpool, but accepts that with Defoe and Kanoute around, there will always be a challenge.
The Republic of Ireland international said: "There is always competition for places, no matter which club you are at, and we are fortunate to have some very good strikers."
"It is always tough, but if we keep playing well, keep working hard and believing in our ability, we always have a chance. That is what all three of us are doing."
