"IT'S a big game on Saturday, which quite simply we have to win and one which I expect us to win."
That's fighting talk from Nelson boss Dave Hall, whose side face Flixton tomorrow in need of three points.
The visitors are four points clear of the Blues, in third place, so a win would close the gap and put pressure on leaders Padiham.
Last weekend's win over Norton was anything but easy, as Nelson were forced to come from behind twice to take the points. But with Paul Barratt once more in exceptional form, nothing's too much for Hall's men.
"I was very happy at the full-time whistle and I was pleased with the players," the Nelson boss said.
"There are different characteristics coming through each week and I'm learning a lot about my players.
"We showed a lot of resilience and resolve last weekend and we were rewarded.
"We are still a very young side but we have the skill, ability and now the character to do well."
Barrett's third hat-trick of the season impressed most people but his boss will help keep his feet on the ground.
"That's why I pick him," Hall said. "He's there to score goals and he is doing.
"I'm pleased for Paul but I am more pleased for the side who are creating the chances for him after all strikers are only as good as the service they receive."
