LIBRARY opening hours, traffic-calming measures, a waste transfer station and a possible mini-roundabout for Waterfoot will be discussed in public at Monday night's Lancashire Local - Rossendale.
The meeting, which unites Lancashire County Council and Rossendale Council, will be held at Futures Park, Bacup, at 6.30pm.
Lancashire Local chairman County Coun Bob Wilkinson said: "These are some of the biggest issues that people raise on the doorstep - and bringing both councils together allows us to develop policies that suit as many people as possible.
"The possible waste transfer station, for instance, is a matter for Rossendale Council and Lancashire County Council as it is part of a larger policy for waste collection and disposal that unites all local authorities in the county.
"The possible mini-roundabout in Waterfoot is also of importance to people in Bacup and so it is right that people can have their views heard."
Other items for discussion include traffic calming for Helmshore, Crawshawbooth and Turnpike/Burnley Road East.
Rossendale Council leader Coun Peter Steen said: "People say local government is not local enough and this is our attempt to involve everyone in decision-making.
"Real debates will be held and real decisions will be formed."
