I AM writing in response to your article re Ribble Valley Council refusing permission for a mosque to be built in Clitheroe.
I would like to applaud the council for having the courage to say no.
In my opinion there are already too many mosques in Lancashire.
Most planning permission is given in fear of councils being branded as racist and therefore most requests are granted.
I do hope it is not given in place of the elderly people's homes as these are far more important in this day and age with homes closing, hospital beds closing etc.
