THE article in (LET, November 27) about shock rock band the Exorsisters brought a smile to my face.

Since 1977, I have been a fan of a rock band who many times over the years have been accused of being the devil's disciples.

Having been to many of their concerts and met the band in person I know this isn't so.

Mrs Garnman has unfortunately believed all the hype surrounding this band. It is quite obvious that if the Exorsisters took drugs on stage they would be barred from every venue in the county.

As for the beheading of a doll, this sounds pretty tame compared to some of the antics Alice Cooper carried out on stage.

As an adult who has been to well over 100 rock concerts over the past 25 years I have to say it's one of the safest environments Mrs Garnman's daughter could experience.

The time to worry is when her daughter has a night in Blackburn town centre - then she would see real life experiences of drug taking and violent acts.

For the record, the Exorsisters are a decent bunch of lads who are more talented than a lot of the rubbish that is in our charts at the moment.

They can play instruments, write music and sing live. Surely we should be promoting our local bands instead of berating them?
