STARS from Burnley Football Club will hand over prizes keen young learners at a presentation ceremony at Turf Moor tonight.
Two players, along with popular mascot Bumble Bee, will hand out certificates and match-day tickets to children who have attended out-of-school learning sessions.
The event marks the beginning of the Playing for Success National Publicity Week.
The Playing for Success initiative was launched in Burnley in May 2002, to raise standards in literacy, numeracy and ICT skills among youngsters in the area.
Keen children are rewarded with tickets for Clarets games.
The scheme is based on a partnership between Burnley FC, Lancashire County Council and the DfES (Department for Education and Skills).
Jenny Doran, who is the Playing for Success centre manager at Burnley, said: "It is nice that both parents and teachers have commented that the Playing for Success scheme has made a difference to the children.
"All the kids have worked really hard when they have been here and they have really enjoyed themselves."
