THREE men were due to appear in court today charged in connection with an alleged assault on a taxi driver.
The three, all from Great Harwood, were arrested over the weekend.
A taxi driver from Preston was carrying his fare of three men to Great Harwood in the early hours of Saturday, when he was allegedly robbed.
The driver, who has not been identified, called the police after the men ran off from Clinkham Street, and was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary for treatment.
He suffered minor injuries in the attack, at about 12.30am.
Three men - Daniel Jones, 19, Reece Vickery, 19 and Ian McMinn, 20 - were charged with robbery on Sunday and were due to appear before Hyndburn Magistrates today.
