A DARWEN nurse who appealed for donations of toys and teddies for poorly youngsters has said she has been amazed with the response and has no room for any more items.
Andrea Williams, who works at The Christie Hospital, Manchester, arranged for people to drop off their gifts at Sainsbury's in Darwen.
They were then being collected and distributed among patients in the young oncology unit to cheer them up on Christmas Day.
Andrea said: "We'd like to thank the people of Darwen for their generosity.
"We don't want to sound ungrateful but we will have to ask people to stop dropping items off now as we have more than enough presents."
