A SEX attacker is being hunted by detectives after a 29-year-woman was assaulted in Leigh.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward to help trace a man seen standing near her shortly after she was attacked.
The woman was attacked on Elles Street, near Barbarellas nightclub, between 10.30pm and 10.50pm on Saturday November 27.
A passer-by saw the woman lying on the pavement and a man was standing with her. An ambulance was called and she was taken to Wigan Infirmary.
Detectives say they are keen to talk to the man who was seen with the woman.
He is described as being approximately 19 year old, white, with short dark hair and stubble.
He is between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and was wearing a long sleeved blue shirt.
