ONCE again we read a letter about cyclists on the promenade - but what about the large number who use the pavement, often as a racetrack.

I recently had to jump aside as a cyclist rounded a corner at speed and then shouted 'Get out of the effing way'.

I dread to think what would have happened if I had been an elderly person or a mum with a child in a pram.

When can we expect something to be done about these law-breakers? After all, it is a fineable offence to cycle on a footpath, bridleway or pavement.
